Jason Clark: My first month with the Productivity Programme

It’s now been 4 weeks since I joined the Productivity Programme team at The University of Lincoln as Business Development Officer, and it feels like I have been here much longer; I have settled in so well. I can honestly say it’s been brilliant in every sense; I’ve loved meeting some amazing businesses in the region who are benefiting from our academic support and grant funding, but also working alongside supportive and friendly colleagues who have helped me settle in!

As it is my first job at a university what has been really striking has been seeing how well the University of Lincoln interacts with and supports local businesses; how well academics from a variety of disciplines work with business, how mutually beneficial this support is to businesses and academics alike, and how receptive these businesses are to working with us on future projects. It makes me proud to be working for such a dynamic and forward-thinking university.

The support the Programme has given in all its strands has proven to be a vital lifeline to many entrepreneurs & businesses during these challenging economic times; I’m excited to help others on this journey as they access our support.
