Introducing Zoe Kleinman

Zoe Kleinman, the BBC’s first ever Technology Editor, is a leading tech journalist, presenter, and broadcaster, with 20 years of expertise and experience to share.

Through her time at Radio 4’s Today Programme, and BBC World News, she has delivered a wide range of stories to millions. Zoe has brought fascinating stories varying from serious issues such as cybersecurity and hacking, all the way to the weird and wonderful such as artificial intelligence and driverless cars to a mainstream global audience.

Zoe enjoys travelling the world, seeking out the next “Big Thing” in technological advances. Some of her tech adventures have led her to the Nevada Desert to fly selfie-taking drones; to spending a night in a house of robots; or becoming a human beatbox; to Las Vegas where she climbed Mt Everest (using VR); and to the Isle of Man to complete a challenge of surviving 48 hours with only Bitcoin at her disposal.

However, her expertise has gained her significant experience closer to home too. Zoe worked at BBC News in the last year, reporting on the pandemic. She also has much experience sharing her knowledge and passion for technology through the Open Data Institute where she hosted a fireside discussion with Sir Time Berners Lee, and Nigel Shadbolt, hosting the Fintech Connect conference as a keynote speaker, and through Utility Week Live, as a keynote speaker. And if that is not enough, her report on parents whose children accidentally spend thousands of pounds whilst playing online games was discussed by politicians and influenced a parliamentary hearing on gaming and gambling.

Zoe’s engaging and interesting adventures, and vast expertise on all things tech, are brought to life when she is sharing them with others as a keynote speaker. This is where she shines.
