An Update to Our Services During the COVID-19 Outbreak

In what is undoubtedly a worrying time, we wanted to reach out to our community with updates from the team and to highlight some of the resources available to support your business.

We are heavily monitoring our government and local authorities’ advice regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and will continue to ensure that the safety and well-being of our staff and partners remain top priorities. To that end, we would like to clarify how we will be working moving forward.

Our two business centres (Sparkhouse and ThinkTank) in Lincoln are continuing to operate as normal and are being managed by front-of-house staff should you need to access the sites. We are as a team, however, working in a different way moving forward and have introduced home and office working on a rota basis for our staff. This will ensure that we continue to serve our tenants and partners, while adhering to a policy of “social distancing”. For further enquiries in this regard, please contact the centres directly on 01522 837200 (Sparkhouse) and 01522 668800 (ThinkTank).

Although we have implemented a working from home policy, we would like to reiterate that there will be no change to our support services, which can all still be accessed remotely. Our Business Development Officers Karen Lockley and Charli Whittaker will continue to be on hand to provide business support, as well as guiding businesses who wish to join our programme through the application process.

Given that we are now limiting social interaction and face-to-face consultations we are now unable to deliver the 12 hours’ business support and academic expertise elements of the Productivity Programme in the usual way. Moving forward we will instead provide these services virtually i.e. via telephone or video call. While this is not necessarily “business as usual” for us, it does mean that we are indeed open for business and carrying on.

If you do have any queries about our services or if you need to contact a member of our team, please email

As well as highlighting our new working arrangements, we would like to direct you to some of the additional resources available to you:

We appreciate your support and co-operation amidst all of the uncertainty and will keep you updated as the situation develops.

In the meantime, please do follow the advice given to you and stay safe.

Best wishes,

The Productivity Programme Team
