Karen Lockley

Business Development Officer

I am a Business Development Officer working on the Productivity Programme.  My role is to support businesses through the application process to access academic support and grant funding. The Productivity Programme is a great way for SMEs to access support to help them bring their new ideas to fruition.

Charli Whittaker

Business Development Officer

I’m Charli, one of the Business Development Officers working on the Productivity Programme.  My role is to support businesses access academic expertise and grant funding to enable SMEs to do things differently.  This will help the business drive productivity and investment and help deliver their growth ambitions.

Sue Cadd

Enterprise Manager

I am the Enterprise Manager at the University – My role is to raise awareness across Greater Lincolnshire by delivering a series of events to encourage innovative thinking and the sharing of best practice.  This includes the annual ‘Doing it Differently’ Conference and a series  of sector based and business hosted seminars and workshops.  These are designed to encourage and stimulate new investment into activities leading to R&D, innovation and higher level skills.

Lesley O’Donnell

Employability Information Manager

I am the Employment Opportunities Manager within the Careers and Employability Team at the University, responsible for managing the Graduate Internship funding element of the Productivity Programme. I work with businesses to explore the benefits of graduate employment, how to recruit talent to their business and support with the funding process.

Reece Leggett

I am the Student Enterprise Co-ordinator.  My role is to support Graduates across the Greater Lincolnshire area to start their own businesses. The programme offers mentoring and support, group training, workshops boot camps as well as business start-up funding.


The Productivity Programme for Greater Lincolnshire is funded through the European Regional Development Fund

To fit with their eligibility criteria a business must be:

  • Based within Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire or North East Lincolnshire
  • An SME; employing fewer than 250 people and have an annual turnover not exceeding €50m
  • In receipt of less than €200k of De Minimis state aid in the past 3 years.
  • A business must not be based in the following sectors:

  • Fishery and aquaculture sectors supported by the European Fisheries Fund
  • Primary production, processing and marketing of agricultural products, supported by EAFRD
  • Coal, steel and shipbuilding sectors
  • The synthetic fibres sector
  • Generalised (school age) education
  • Banking and insurance companies
  • Retail business or retail service business such as restaurants, hairdressers etc.
  • The programme cannot support replacement/upgrade of existing like for like machinery or any activity/purchase which is considered as an every day business activity.
